I have come to ThE COnCLusion that I am Not a GOOD BLOGGER!  I guess mainly because I am computer CHALLENGeD.   YES, I have a "smart phone" and ALL the equipment I need and I TEACH myself what to do but, juST as I get IT ALL figured out IT ChAnGeS on ME.....like this BLOG TODAY!  The Last time I posted was in FEB. and low and behold as I am doing THIS BloG.....WE now HAVE A NEW FORMAT!   (don't even get me started on Facebook Changes....rrrrrrrrr)  Anyway, here goes......

I thought I would show you some things we are WoRkin' on that's pretty cool.

Talk about repurposing ....these are made from Vintage ForkS.  They have been cut, ground down, twisted, bent, hammered, embellished with Vintage watch parts and crystallized.  They come with a Ball Chain but also LOOK GrEaT on a leather cord or ribbon.  Our Price on these are only $26.

Add Charms and ViNtaGe Keys for a different look.....for $36.  THESE are so AWESOME....what a statement piece.

It's so Good to be doing Shows again this New Year.  Since I've last posted we have had 3 shows and I must say they have been good for us.  EverY NeW YeAr we always wonder how They will be.  I guess because we have had a little time off (used for creating NEW) it's like starting aLL OvEr again....Anyway, as usual we have Been Making some New Things for YOU.  Thank GOD for the PiCkErS who help us out finding our TrEaSuRes!!!!

EVERYONE who does this business has ThEiR own style.  Although we feed off of or get InSpIreD from FasHioN, TrEnds, or DaYs GoNe By....Jess and I work Hard to Come UP with different ways to put it ALL TOGETHER. It's important especially for the shows that we all are different.  When you do this for a Living....IT'S A MUST!

 

WE mostly like to stick with the Larger TrAde ShoWs and of course FLEA MARKETS.  Vendors who do this professionally at The TrAdE  don't try to copy you.  FLEA MaRkEt vendors usually don't make THEIR product unless it's fOOD....so no problem there.   When we did a show a few weeks ago our customers who know us kept saying there was a booth trying to look like our booth.......wrapping up a tent in fabric, a hanging chandelier etc......(is kinda like us......don't you think)......DEJA VU!

 

 AftEr doing shows for over 20 years I have had alot of  DISPLAYS.   I Like this one the BesT.  It reflects the VINTAGE GYSPY in us!!!!   I think we will keep it a while longer but  change it up a Bit and  continue to come up with IDEAS for others! (ha ha)

Make Your Pictures into Artwork!!!

  Isn't IT Funny how you can sometimes make PLaNs and they don't end up going the way you thought they would?  My last Blog I had ALL these plans....... It's a long story but to make it short we Moved my In-Laws to a nursing home near us where my father-in-law who was in Hospice died.  Now we are trying to help his wife of 57 years learn to live without him and adjust to a new life. She is a trooper and with good positive encouragement she's going to be fine.      

Jess and I missed the Atlanta and Dallas Market this month. But, we do have some Markets coming up that we are working on!  So Excited and READY for a SHOW!!

One thing I wanted to show you is something you can make yourself.....maybe for the one you LOVE on Valentine's Day.  I made these for Jess and Steve at Christmas.  

I took pictures of LILLIE GRACE and scrapbooking papers and decoupaged them onto stretched canvas.  

  The pictures are embellished with crystals, jewelry and letters.  This gives them texture and really makes them stand out.

This was a larger one from the pictures above where I tried to show more detail to you.

If you make these you will need .....any size stretched canvas...enlarged pictures....decoupage...sponge applicators.....colorful papers....paint....embellishments....glue...and matte finish spray. 

Here we Go!

Collage and decoupage your papers and pictures anywhere on your canvas.  Be creative.  (I added cowboy boots by a picture of Lillie in a cowboy hat.)  After the decoupage dries you can add paint to any area you didn't cover such as the sides.  When this dries spray it  with Matte Finish Spray to protect it.

Now comes the best part.....embellish away.  Glue on anything around your artwork...make it yours
